Domestic violence is terrible to live through. Regrettably, abusers often use the system to obtain revenge or leverage in a separation. Domestic violence laws can ruin families, regardless of severity. If arrested on a domestic violence charge, you may be ordered to move out of your own home and not see your spouse and kids. Convictions can lead to probation, expensive classes, community service, incarceration, loss of gun rights & loss of your job.
These cases can often get dismissed for lack of evidence. However, when things go wrong, the consequences can be devastating. I have handled hundreds of domestic violence cases against people who were wrongfully accused or over charged.
